Actor Darren Trumeter is a member of the sketch comedy group and TV show “The Whitest Kids You Know” which just wrapped the series after five seasons on IFC. He grew up a military brat, living in numerous cities around the country as well as in Germany. He started acting at the age of nine and has been in more than 40 plays. In 1999, Darren moved to New York City to pursue screenwriting and film directing. While working on an independent film, he met fellow cast mate Zach Cregger and was invited to a Whitest Kids show. Darren was immediately intrigued and soon became a part of the troupe.

Seven score and ten years ago today the American Civil War started. On Friday, the new season of The Whitest Kids U’Know kicks off at 10:30 p.m. ET. During their final tour the Kids are tackling many topics, includingsquirrels, precious children, and, naturally, the war on drugs. Specifically, the Civil War on Drugs.
The Civil War was a time of great turmoil in the United States. Brothers wore blue or grey, families torn apart, a country divided between North and South. At the heart of the crisis was a nation struggling for freedom — the freedom to get high. The Whitest Kids U’Know’s Civil War on Drugs follows two young Virginians as they set out to legalize one seemingly harmless, er… herb. Along the way they meet the greats of U.S. history from Gen. Ulysses S. Grant to Bob from Jamaica and try to convince the young nation to put down arms and pick up …well, you know.
Watch the first episode of The Civil War on Drugs now and then tune in on Friday at 10:30 p.m. ET for the premiere of The Whitest Kids U’Know final season:

The Whitest Kids U’Know is about to start its fifth season on IFC. Unfortunately, it’s also the show’s last season, which isn’t a big surprise considering some of the boys have signed on to other projects (Trevor Moore is in the awful Breaking In while Zach Cregger is set to star in NBC’s Friends With Benefits which, based on the name, will probably also be awful but at least it has Ryan Hansen of Veronica Mars and Party Down fame). It’s still a huge bummer, especially because these guys have been putting out some of my favorite sketch comedy since The State and, well, All That. For example: I spend a lot of time just thinking about the Gallon of PCP sketch and laughing uncontrollably to myself.
Anyway, Hulu has the entire Season 5 premiere episode. The final ten episodes will begin airing April 15th on IFC at 10:30pm.
